The
Enchanted Grove is
back up and running!
Did you miss me? (I
hope so!)
I
took awhile off to
decide what it was I
really wanted to do
here - did I want to
continue in the same
vein, or set off in
a completely new
direction? The
reality actually
fell somewhere in
between (as is
usually the case).
I am slowly
rebuilding and
adding content, but
where some pages
have information
that was part of the
original site, I
felt that not all of
it was part of the
vision I have for
the Grove's future.
I am also utilizing
some forum boards
for posting of such
things as the
deities, and other
such "dictionary"
type content.
I am hoping it will
be easier on me to
get the info posted,
as well as to the
visitor to quickly
find what they are
looking for.
Besides the content,
you will see that
this is my first
layout with a white
background! I
usually favor
bright, vivid colors
and contrast, but
this layout palette
makes for a nice,
relaxing journey I
think. I am
also favoring the
"simple approach to
design" - I went
through all of the
phases where I had
to have flash,
animations, etc. but
I spent so much time
on bells and
whistles, I had
little energy for
the "meat and
potatoes" of the
site. You may
see some DHTML along
the way here, but I
am really
endeavoring to keep
this site as simply
designed as
possible, just so it
will be compatible
with as many of our
visitors as it can
be. I have
also moved the site
from it's long-time
home at tripod to
it's new space at
crosswinds.net.
I have worked with
Jenn Callum and the
cadre there at
Crosswinds in
connection to
another site I own,
and I have to tell
you the service and
personal touch they
provide is
astounding! I never
looked back *G*
